Jewish Community Support
The Eli & Bessie Cohen Foundation supplements its commitment to building Jewish communities through additional endeavors that support Eli and Bessie Cohen's passion for and mission of Jewish education in the United States and in Israel. Under Arnold and Annebelle Cohen's direction, the Foundation carries on this tradition as a generous benefactor of Jewish life and institutions throughout the community, the United States and Israel.
Since its founding, The Cohen Foundation has maintained a passionate commitment to the State of Israel. The Foundation's Dor L'Dor Leadership program, which sends counselors-in-training on a 5 week trip to Israel, manifests this allegiance. Each year, over 100 counselors-in-training, representing all three camps, travel to Israel with the Foundation and train to be future leaders in the Jewish community. Each camp also employs a delegation of counselors from Israel as part of its mission.
Scholarships
The Cohen Foundation is guided by the philosophy that philanthropy starts "at home." To that end, the Foundation's commitment to a scholarship program insures that Jewish youth from families of all means, as well as the children of Jewish educational professionals, have the opportunity to attend the Cohen Camps.
